My Pet Lab Retriever painting

Recently my pet Labrador Retriever has become my willing muse to most of my water color paintings. Not a penny spent for getting her to pose. Mostly clicks turned into paintings, as she is not very cooperative where staying still for me is concerned.

Here is a few of them

They are all water color paintings on paper of size -9x6 inches.

Visit pixels.com to view or collect prints of these paintings; or products with these artworks printed on them. T shirts and mobile cases with this artwork are quite the rage for pet owners and lovers.

Deer visit in Backyard - oil painting

A visit of this beautiful golden deer to the backyard and clicked by my daughter - it was a golden opportunity for a painting which I would never miss. The deer had sensed that she was being watched, and turned her head, slightly popping her ears to catch sounds.

Oil painting on canvas board - 8x10 inches

A Hen - Painting

A Hen
acrylic painting on canvas
size 13x9 inches

Painting birds and animals have always been refreshing to my mind. Loved this hen because of her proud and confident stance. Hence she became a painting.

Have been busy getting prepared for a forthcoming group show to be held in October at Chitra Kala Parishad Bengaluru.  Will give more information in my next post. Until then.

Monkey Swing - monkey painting

Monkey Swing
acrylic painting on canvas
size 16x12 inches

Of late I have taken a fancy to the animalkind I think . I have been unconsciously choosing cows, and cats and now monkeys to paint.

Their tails especially really fascinate me. I saw this baby monkey swinging on the tails of two other adult monkeys and appreciated this - monkey joint family system. Baby monkey looked so swingingly happy.  :).

The Holy Cow and dung

The Holy Cow and dung
medium: - water color painting
support: -  cartridge paper
size:- 11x15 inches

I watch this cow everyday, grazing on the empty site opposite my house.  Some times when I watch at mid-day, I love to see the shadow she casts forming a beautiful design under her. I somehow felt that I need to do this in water colors, and here is a painting I did in water colors after a very long long time.
